TERMS
Reservations:
We are a two day minimum stay and three days over public holidays. Unfortunately due to the nature of the property, we do not offer wheelchair access.
Occupancy:
You have the right to occupy the defined cottages areas of the specific cottage booked, and during your paid timeframe only. No visitors. This is occupancy only for the people paid for on the booking. Please read the information/welcome booklet inside the premises to familiarise yourself with the boundaries. Signposts will also be provided on premise. The riverside itself is reserve so we cannot guarantee you will not see other people near the riverbank.
Guest Conduct:
Please take care of the items on the property and let us know if anything breaks. Reasonable wear and tear considered however if damage is significant we will ask you to cover the cost to repair. The consumption of alcohol is entirely at your own risk, please drink responsibly and stay away from the river tracks and water if under the influence of alcohol. Please act legally and responsibly whilst on the property, we retain the right to ask you to leave at any time if we find this has been breached.
Your Safety:
As we are based on the riverside there are some hazards on the tracks and along the riverbank. Care must be taken at all times. We will take safety measures where possible, but please act with common sense in respect to outdoor bathing (hot or cold). All activities are strictly at your own risk. Kaituna Riverside Cottages Pty Ltd accept no liability for accidents, property loss/damage or personal injury during your stay here.
Weather:
Cooler Months: As we are based at the foothills of the mighty Tararua Ranges, our weather is spectacular at times. Please check the weather forecast and bring appropriate attire for your stay, particularly if you plan on heading into the ranges.
Summertime Months: It gets very hot in the summertime so please protect yourself accordingly.
Pets:
You can bring a pooch but it must stay close to you and not roam to adjacent property as there is farmland all around. Please keep it on lead if not with you or there is a kennel if needed for securing your dog. Absolutely no dogs inside.
